CineCov is transforming Coventry into one big cinema for 2021

“CineCov” is a programme that is getting people excited for a real life, non-virtual events for the first time in a long time this summer.

It will transform Coventry into a cinema over the next twelve months, screening over 150 films, including the Italian Job where Coventry make a special tribute in. The screening and film events will be taking place in parks, community centres, forests, towpaths and churches. The branding from Wieden+Knnedy is inspired by ‘the essence of cinema’. CineCov has been organised to coincide with the launch of Coventry’s year as UK City of Culture, and organisers say it will celebrate film’s power to transport us and to bring us together.
