Tij Observatory

‘Tij Observatory’ designed by Rau Architects and Road Architecten.

The thatched reed covered egg-shaped observatory is brilliantly designed to take the form of a tern’s egg, as birdwatchers come to observe them by the coast of Natuurgebied Scheelhoek. The interior is built with timber frames and sustainable wood. The architectural structure is not only practical for bird watching, but it also reflects a beautiful and organic design that takes place in nature.
