Monaco Grand Prix Returns: A Four-Team Battle for Pole Position and High Hopes for Aston Martin

F1 is back with the Monaco Grand Prix hitting the streets this weekend, right in the middle of the Cannes Film Festival.

We’ll be expecting some invites to have floated along the Grand Corniche and onwards to Cannes to help fill the pitlanes, boats and grid walk.

After the drowned out Imola cancellation, the only chance of getting wet here, is diving off the back of a superyacht, or taking to the pool as the winner of the Grand Prix on Sunday. Ted Kravitz thinks it will be a four team race for pole.

Red Bull obviously features heavily, as do Ferrari, but Kravitz is expecting there may be something to see from Mercedes with their new package….and his prediction for the win is Fernando Alonso in the Aston Martin car, which is more than capable of winning on this street circuit. And with Aston Martin announcing their engine deal with Honda, spirits are high in their camp. Lawrence Stroll is not a man who does things by half and many neutrals on the grid believe that this could be their race.
