Nokia’s New Identity

It’s ‘NO’ KIA, but it is equally risky.

Last year KIA changed its identity using a similar strokeless letter technique, which, when the annual sponsorship for the Australian Open Tennis came out, caused some concern about legibility.

Nokia has opted to alter its logo in an attempt to dissociate itself from its reputation as a mobile device producer. The well-known blue block-letter Nokia emblem was introduced in the late 1960s and has not been significantly revised since then. Despite the fact that it was a challenging choice due to the length of time that the previous logo had been in use, it was deemed necessary.

What is your opinion on Nokia’s choice? Additionally, do you have a favourable impression of the updated design?
