Wish We Were Here

Wish You We Were Here

With our industry’s most important worldwide market in October, we are starting a campaign leading up to this and all other international TV conferences throughout the year.

WISH WE WERE HERE is Mindcorp’s new campaign, getting us ready for those all important face-to-face meetings. If you’ve got any MIP memories you want putting into our campaign, with a shout out to you, you colleagues, your client or your company, send your images to andrew@mindcorp.co.uk

Standing looking out of the Grand Hotel, you just cannot wait for a chance to stand and talk with your fellow coworkers and friends after an intense day of meetings. Most people who were asked what they did first after the lockdown said “shopping”. Touching fabrics, picking things up, being tactile. We all know what we sell at the markets can be both sold and watched on screens, but to physically interact with the pitches, the launches and the campaigns really gives us all sense of positivity and belonging. Instead of being the death of the markets, this pandemic may well be responsible for their renaissance.

London’s Design Museum Pop-up Supermarket

London’s Design Museum Pop-up Supermarket

The Design Museum shop will turn into a ‘Supermarket’ designed by Camille Walala.

It will sell competitively priced items including home essentials such as toilet roll, dish soap and coffee, in packaging created by emerging artists. ‘Supermarket’ – open for just five days, from 21-25 April – will prove that creativity is indeed an essential item. The Design Museum and Bombay Sapphire have thought up an inventive solution to welcoming back art – and design – deprived visitors for a vital dose of creative fuel!

Call The Midwife series 10 released!

Call The Midwife series 10, is ready to be delivered!

After being delayed for 5 months due to Coronavirus, it has been confirmed that Call the Midwife series 10 will begin on Sunday 18th April 2021 at 8pm on BBC One!

The new series is set in 1966, and it looks to be eventful with returning casts such as Helen George, Judy Parfitt and EastEnders legend Cliff Parisi. At the Nonnatus House, they could be gearing up (at last!) for a wedding between slow-burn romantics Nurse Lucille Anderson (Leonie Elliott) and Cyril Robinson (Zephryn Taitte), as the new trailer features what seems like a major declaration of love from Cyril. Meanwhile, controversial plans are set afoot to introduce a private clinic to Nonnatus House, announced by Sister Julienne (Jenny Agutter). But will her fellow sisters agree?

Who’s ready for Wednesday... Addams?

Who’s ready for Wednesday… Addams?

With her signature plaits and devious dark mind, is there a more iconic character than Wednesday Addams? Well we think not, and it seems that Netflix doesn’t either as they have announced, coming soon to Netflix, a spinoff on Wednesday Addams.

Aptly named Wednesday, they have described the series as “a sleuthing, supernaturally infused mystery charting Wednesday’s years as a student at the peculiar Nevermore Academy”. While mastering her psychic abilities she will also discover the supernatural mystery that embroiled her family 25 years ago.

It is said to be an eight-episode live action series directed by Tim Burton, who is best known for his gothic fantasy and horror films such as Edward Scissorhands, The Night Before Christmas, Sweeney Todd, Beetlejuice and Dark Shadows (to a name a few).

If it’s anything like these films, we can expect Wednesday to be a horrific treat!
