Aston Martin’s new wings

Aston Martin grows new wings as they update the branding.

Peter Saville has redrawn the iconic 95-year-old winged logo, describing the it as “subtle but necessary enhancements”. The wing-shaped word mark has undergone various adjustments since it was first introduced in 1927. This year the updated version of the wings are simplified with softer edges, giving more space for the typography.

Otl Aicher’s design legacy book

A new book published by Prestel explores the design legacy of the German graphic designer and typographer, Otl Aicher.

To mark the centenary of his birth, the new book has a complete insight into ways in which Aicher has influenced contemporary design both in practice and theory.

As well as his passion for teaching, the publication explores Aicher’s achievements beyond the world of design and his desire to challenge the culture and society of his time. Aicher’s bold yet accessible designs have become the basis in today’s universal language. In particular his pictograms, which help to direct people around the world through subways, to bathrooms, airports, hospitals and many more.

The UEFA European Women’s Championship 2022

The Lionesses have made a faultless start in the Euro 2022 Tournament held here in England, win all three group game scoring 13 and conceding 0.

They head into the quarter final against Spain as tournament favourites and they are living up to that billing perfectly. With the final being held at Wembley, the woman will be hoping to go one step further than the men and lift the trophy on July 31st!

Drone show by Paramount+ and Vivid Sydney

The Southern Hemisphere’s largest drone and light show created by Paramount+ and Vivid Sydney has made history.

Using 600 drones, the Sydney Harbour was light up bringing life to iconic stars such as Star Trek, SpongeBob Squarepants and Top Gun.
